Abstract

The ordered double perovskite Sr2FeMoxW 1-xO6 compounds exhibit a transition from a ferromagnetic metal to an antiferromagnetic insulator with decreasing doping x. To understand the origin of this transition, using a double exchange type model with interaction between localized Fe spins and conduction electrons together with a tight-binding Hamiltonian and the renormalized perturbation expansion, we study the ferromagnetic phase and the ferroantiferromagnetic transition with x.
