DESIGN OF A POWER CIRCULATING TRANSMISSION TEST RIG.

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

To obtain the frequency response of a strip (V belt, timing belt and the like) it is necessary to subject the element to both static and fluctuating torques simultaneously, and to vary the frequency and amplitude of this fluctuating torque independently of the running speed of the rig. It is difficult to satisfy these requirements, especially the variation of frequency independently of running speed, with a mechanical arrangement. In this work, the design of a recirculating power test rig and its instrumentation are presented.
