Abstract
The paper presents review of current condition of space and terrestrial solar energetics. The comparison of the most popular Si and GaAs solar cells, as well as their parameters variation with temperature rise, radiation treatments, and improving design were analysed. The modern international space projects, applying new types of solar cells, were discussed as well.
