Abstract

In this work, the principles of warm isostatic pressing (WIP) process working at low temperatures and high pressures using a liquid pressurization medium have been investigated and the possibilities of this alternative process for the consolidation of ultrafine grained materials are discussed. First results of consolidated ultrafine grained pure copper powder by means of this method are showed.
