Abstract

The PvT behavior was determined for the binary systems carbon dioxide + 1-propanol and carbon dioxide + 2-propanol in the homogeneous state. The measurements were performed for different compositions at temperatures ranging from 313 to 363 K and pressures up to 25 MPa using a vibrating tube densimeter. The accuracy of the density determinations was better than ±0.05%, and the densities presented in this work agree well with data reported in the literature. The excess volumes were calculated from the experimental PvT data.
