Abstract

A new equation is proposed in order to obtain a consistent and accurate correlation between morphometric data of growing mycelia of Gibberella fujikuroi in solid media and its observed specific growth rates (μ_obs) in stirred fermenters. A critical analysis is made of previous data and models.
