Abstract

The calculation of critical points of binary and multicomponent mixtures is of practical interest in the petroleum (process design and petroleum reservoir simulation) and energy industries and also in processes involving supercritical gas extraction. In this work critical points were calculated, using the method proposed by R. A. Heidemann together with the Peng-Robinson cubic equation of state for binary mixtures with components including CO//2, N//2 and hydrocarbons.
