Abstract

A method to calculate the stability zones for linear periodic systems is presented. The calculation often requires the solution of a large number of ordinary differential equations (ODE) therefore the computation time is huge. The goal of this contribution is to speed-up the computation time using the parallel architecture of the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). The linear periodic differential equation is discretized to obtain a discrete system in which the stability is determined. We emphasize the advantages of the presented method for systems of two or more degrees of freedom.
