Abstract
The article strives for identifying the contributions of cultural geography of landscape to the sustainable territory development in the current COVID-19 Pandemics. To that end, we review the recurrent problematic fields of the inter-sectoral policy implementation in Mexico from three recent experiences. Afterward, we review two landscape approach territory management European cases in order to figure out significant procedures useful for the Mexican problematics. We conclude that while the landscape approach provides tools and processes that can result in innovative and positive for Mexican policy, radical changes in the rigid sectoral organization of federal andsubnational authority would be necessary. The article does not propose the imposition of a new
model. Still, it bolsters the contributions of the cultural geography of the landscape to building the capabilities for governance that supports sustainable territory development along with the people and for the people in the context of increasing environmental deterioration and climate change impacts.
