Analysis of Bidirectional Switching of SiC Transistors in a Matrix Converter Leg

Abstract

This paper presents a simple algorithm to achieve a Zero Voltage Transition (ZVT) during the current reversal in a matrix converter. The algorithm and the operation are analyzed for one leg and verified in a simulation performed in Saber.
