N2 - Crack interaction was analysed numerical and experimentally, in order to evaluate the stress field of plates loaded under tension. In particular, two cases were studied; a plate with two collinear cracks and another one with two staggered cracks. The purpose was the evaluation of the crack of propagation. The experimental analysis was done with transmission photoelasticity and the numerical analysis was done with FRANC2D/L and ANSYS.
