Abstract

In a real world, the emotions play a significant role in rational actions in human communication. In recent years, there has been growing interest in the study of emotions to improve the capabilities of current human-computer interaction. In this paper, we present an effective pattern recognition approach to improve the extraction features in the performance of emotion recognition from video sequences by combining the Nitzberg algorithm and statistics analysis by means of use of the first and second momentum. © 2008 IEEE.
