Abstract

The fatty acids linolenic, lauric, margaric and stearic were isolated of chloroform extract from Tubifextubifex, which were identified by gas-chromatography analysis (GC). These compounds showed antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus cereus and Gram-negative Escherichia coli and Kliebsiella pneumoniae. Disc diffusion assay was used for antibacterial activity. Was also determined the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of each compound, the values are in the range of 1.34 to 4.21 mg/mL.
