Abstract

A discussion on a reliability-based approach (structural-reliability analysis, SRA) for the condition assessment of corroding oil and gas pipelines, presented at the 16th International Pipeline Pigging, Integrity Assessment, and Repair Conference (Houston, TX 2/5-6/2004), covers SRA framework; failure modes; model uncertainties; limit state functions and reliability; planning future safe operation; and integrity management.
