Abstract
The correlation between the brightness temperature and dyadic scattering coefficient of the statistically rough surface is investigated. This correlation is caused by the casual character of the surface geometry and electric parameters. It is found for the case when the brightness temperature and the dyadic scattering coefficient are the casual functions of rough surface parameters and when they are averaged additionally aver the small-scale roughnesses. In the first case the correlation has the order of λ/d, where λ is the wavelength and d is the dimension of a surface element. In the second case the correlation coefficient has been calculated for two-scale model of rough surface.
