Abstract

A study was conducted to demonstrate 3D visualization of real-time color video sequences based on processing in wavelet-transform (WT). The new approach proposed two schemes of reconstruction of 3D objects based on co-processing of the neighboring frames of a video sequence in a given color space. The proposed procedures were implemented on the basis of the classical wavelets and the wavelets based on the atomic functions. The new 3D-visualization algorithms were implemented for various types of digital processors. The WT transform was implemented on the basis of the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) for three components of details, such as horizontal, vertical, and diagonal, and the component LL.
