Research interests
My interests are related to the mathematical modeling of biological systems, ranging from genetic interaction networks to interaction models between elements of an ecosystem. In particular, I am currently developing three lines of research: 1. Understanding the properties that confer robustness to genetic interaction pathways. 2. Mathematical models to explain the population dynamics of pests. 3. Develop protocols to break the inter and intra-specific fertilization barriers in the Heliconia uxpanapensis flower.
