Resumen
A brief evaluation was made to determine whether temporary improvements were obtained from the treatment with specific transfer factor of a 74 yr old patient suffering from chronic anergic coccidioidomycosis. The patient could not be treated any longer with amphotericin B, because of renal insufficiency consequent to the long term use of the drugs. A brief discussion is made of the theories attempting to explain the effects of cellular immunity in these patients and why, regardless of the clinical and immunological improvement, this type of patients could not obtain a complete cure without complementary chemotherapy.
