Resumen

This paper present some results of the consequences caused by clandestine takes in different states of Mexico through which PEMEX pipelines network pass from 2013 to 2018, since from that time period this crime began to be considered in a formal manner. The main findings are: a) the amount of clandestine takes has increased considerably in last twelve years and in the last six years; the number of clandestine takes has been the highest recorded in Mexico history (35,047). b) Considering PEMEX distribution pipelines network whose length is 17,000 kilometers, the states where the most clandestine takes have happened are Puebla (5,338), Guanajuato (5,423), Hidalgo (2,945), Tamaulipas (4,535), Veracruz (3,173), Jalisco (2,536) and Estado de Mexico (2,852) 76.47% of the total amount of clandestine takes of the country, c) The consequences of these attacks are economic losses, fires, explosions, soils and rivers pollution, besides injuries and deaths, d) From the consequences described above, the total amount of polluted soils are 123 reports, which have affected 11,366 acres with financial losses for $30,000,000.00 Mexican pesos per year, omitting the costs of repairing environmental and social damages that depend on the type of damage.
