N2 - This paper proposes the study of feasibility for a novel exoskeleton aiming at reducing workers’ physical strain with lifting force compensation. The proposed design is based on an RRRT (Revolute-Translation) kinematic chain with 4 passive degrees of freedom. A magnetic-spring support mechanism is proposed to lock the mechanism in the desired working configurations. Preliminary models and experimental characterizations are reported to show the feasibility of the proposed design solution with a preliminary prototype.
