    Abstract

The computational systems have changed the way that humans interact and perceive the surrounding environment. The mobile computing and the design paradigm based in the Internet of Things (IoT) have allowed the manufacture of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), which they should be able to transmit their information despite the medium that they are in. Consequently, in this article is explored the capabilities of cellular networks as General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Universal Mobile Telecommunication Systems (UMTS) for it, it is used a novelty wireless communication channel model based in the conductivity of sea water also it is studied the consumption of the proposal system.
