Abstract
Preparations of TEM samples of Re and Ru nanometric coatings on the surface of NiCoCrAlYTa particles are presented. They allowed the investigation of the morphology, the microstructure and the composition of the coatings which were correlated with the MOCVD processing conditions. The characteristics of the films show the feasibility of doping such powders prior to their use for the preparation of high performance bond coats in gas turbine blades and vanes.
