Abstract

This paper presents a visual application that allows to calculate the traffic flow and average speed on a section of road by image segmentation . To do this, extracted video images showing the vehicular traffic, where those sections of the image that correspond to movements in the video and match with the movement of vehicles were segmented, then the traffic flow in a section of the road and the average speed of vehicles traveling were measured.
