Abstract

Thermal analysis under nonisothermal and isothermal conditions in the form of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) differential thermal analysis (DTA) and thermogravimetric analysis (DTG) have been used successfully in thermal studies of polymers for a number of years. The present investigation was undertaken to find the correlation between the thermal curves of a cation exchange membrane and the thermal properties of all components of the polymeric phase of the membrane. The purpose of this paper is to illustrate further information of the DSC, DTA, TG, DTG, for cation exchange membranes available from simultaneous nonisothermal analysis.
