El concepto de dominios ambientales como estrategia en la planificación territorial del sistema lacustre del Lago de Texcoco, estado de México

The east of the Metropolitan Area of Mexico City is a region with more than five million people. However, it only has a natural area, the ancient lake bed of Lake Texcoco. This study shows the efforts made by Environmental Management Units based on holistic environmental domains, which have helped to reverse the ecological damage of the marsh complex, to rehabilitate ecological functions, and to promote activities for improving the economic status and living standards of the entire population.
