Abstract

Studies have been made on the distributions of Fe, Mn, Sn and Cu in suspended and dissolved forms in the following systems: Razdol'naya River to Sea of Japan and Saigon River to S China Sea. It has been found that the suspensate is enriched in copper in the latter case at pH greater or equal to 7.6 and salinity 18-20%. Complexing with natural dissolved organic matter has an important effect on the migration of Fe, Mn and Cu in these estuaries. At salinities over 4%, the main migration forms for Fe and Mn in solution are as complexes with humic and fulvic acids.-Journal summary
