Abstract

For non-inferiority tests in three-arm comparisons, we establish a theorem affirming that if the rejection region is a three-dimensional Barnard convex set, then the test size is the maximum of the power function over the boundary of the null space. To illustrate this, we present two examples using the likelihood ratio test for two margin functions.
