Abstract

A study was made of atactic PP obtained using various catalytic systems based on TiCl3. It was shown that on replacing the cocatalyst (AlEt2Cl for AlEt3) in the system the constant of chain propagation changes. The atactic PP formed differs in structure and MW. It was also shown that the addition of hydrogen into the polymerization system has no effect on the MW of atactic PP obtained with the system TiCl3 +AlEt2Cl but regulates MW of atactic PP obtained using the TiCl3+AlEt3 system. Results of this study enabled a conclusion to be drawn about the formation of atactic and isotactic PP on various active centres.
