Abstract

The aim of this work was to construct a questionnaire to assess the effectiveness of teaching including relevant dimensions identified in the literature, forming a contemporary teaching model conceptually and philosophically coherent. The questionnaire was successively amended to submit to the judgment of 10 experts, of focus groups of undergraduate students, at a pilot application with 214 students from different academic units and, finally, its application on a random sample, stratified and proportional, of 99 undergraduate courses of eight academic units of the National Polytechnic Institute (Mexico), involving 1627 students and 99 teachers. The results of internal consistency and construct validity, which are reflected in the text, are excellent. The product is a 17-item questionnaire in 4 dimensions: teacher-student relationship, personality of the teacher, student assessment by the teacher and his teaching method.
