Ring dark solitons generated by phase and amplitude jumps

Abstract

In this paper we show numerically and experimentally the generation of ring dark spatial solitons using a phase disk and an opaque ring. In the firs case one dark ring is generated and in the second a pair. The propagation and stability of this solitons is analised.
