Abstract
The objective of this research is to examine the state of renewable energy sources in Mexico, as well as their future, to analyze challenges and opportunities that allow improving their management. For literature review, the PRISMA method was followed. The results show that Mexico has made progress in terms of better financing of renewable energy projects. However, there are still political, administrative, bureaucratic and socio-political deficiencies.
