Numerical study of the profile of parallel plate electrodes

Abstract

The electric field distribution in an arrangement of parallel metal plates for three profiles reported in the literature was numerically analyzed. As a result, the liaison between the constant that determines the width of the transition zone ko and the desired distance between electrodes s was found using a series of finite element simulations.
