Logarithmic lepton-mass singularities in baryon decay

Abstract

We study the logarithmic lepton-mass singularities contributions to the semileptonic hyperon- decay probability. We find that such contributions are independent of strong interactions. This result is consistent with and a useful extension of a theorem by Marciano and Sirlin on l2 decay.
