Abstract

Eight polymorphic microsatellite DNA loci were isolated for the three banded land snail (Humboldtiana durangoensis). Genetic diversity was assessed using 29 individuals. The number of alleles per locus ranged from 2 to 10. Mean observed heterozygosity (Ho = 0.408) was lower than the expected Heterozygosity (Ho = 0.757) as have been found in other land snails.
