Abstract

We have calculated pion-deuteron elastic scattering in the region of the pion-nucleon 3, 3 resonance, using a relativistic three-body model which takes into account the pion-nucleon interaction in the P33 channel and the nucleon-nucleon interaction in the 3S1 and 1S0 channels. We included all spin and isospin degrees of freedom, and all angular momentum partial waves that contribute to the scattering. We studied the sensitivity of our results to different forms of the nucleonn-ucleon interaction and to the off-shell behavior of the pion-nucleon amplitude.
