Abstract

In this paper it is presented an improvement proposal on the Nonlocal (NL) Means filtering algorithm for noise suppression, this improvement is intended to find the optimal parameters for any kind of image corrupted by Gaussian noise. The proposal focused mainly to compute optimal parameters used by the algorithm and at same time to reduce the computational charge taking into account a neighborhood preclassification proposal.
