Implementing first round of MD5 in FPGA

    In modern data communications, the authentication process of a message is an ubiquitous procedure. This paper proposes a way to implement the first round of MD5, a message digest authentication algorithm, in a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) using static and dynamic logic. This prototype also shows simulation results, and conclusions about this implementation.
