Abstract

The exact solutions of the 2D Schrödinger equation with the inverse square root potential V(r)=-a/r (a > 0) are found as the Biconfluent Heun function HB(α,β,γ,δ;z) . The wave functions with the variation of the potential parameter a and angular momentum quantum number m are illustrated graphically.
