Abstract
In this work muscular contraction is studied using linear irreversible thermodynamics and the ecological regime of operation as a theoretical frameworks. From the results obtained, it is concluded that the ecological regime of operation does not represent a good approach between potency and the efficiency of the muscle. This suggests that the ecological regime of operation is not a good theoretical framework to model the muscular energy.
