Abstract

A Hubbard model to study the localized and itinerant nature of 3d electrons and short range order correlations in binary magnetic CoxFe1-x alloys was developed. The electronic structure of the alloys for different concentrations of x was obtained by means of the model. The magnetic behavior of the alloy components were found as a function of the Co concentration x. The results obtained were in agreement with polarized neutron diffraction experiments.
