Abstract

Monitoring electrical parameters like current and voltage has many typical applications since AC variable speed drives, static converters, battery supplied applications, etc. There are many devices that allow the measurement of these parameters and to acquire these parameters or any other in a digital system, we depend on characteristics of transducer and ADC. In this work we focus on the voltage and current transducers whose main characteristic is an accuracy less than 1%, while the ADC used was a conventional 10-bit one that any microcontroller can offer, to improve this, an oversampling technique is implemented. This combination presented a relative error less than 1% and 3% for voltage and current respectively.
