Abstract

In the international literature the coauthorship networks of researchers from various scientific fields have been studied, thus evidencing their efficacy, effectiveness and impact of their publications, however, in Mexico this type of studies are scarce and present significant potential development, so.the objective of this study is to analyze the structure of the network of coauthorship of national level 3 researchers in political science in the country, under the structural metrics of network theory. One of the main conclusions is that the network presents a fragmented configuration, in view of this it is proposed in the first instance to reorient the public policy of the Mexican government to strengthen those of inter and multidisciplinary research groups and promote the creation of research networks in priority areas for the country.
