Abstract

The early cataract detection in a non common discussed topic for ongoing research, considering that is one of the most common eye diseases, and is the leading cause of blindness globally. By timely detection, it is possible to prevent cataract surgery in the initial stage of it. This paper discusses the most recently proposed methods for cataract detection and diagnosis; also the imaging techniques that are used for the same purpose. The final goal of our research is the approach of an experimental detection method for the same purpose.
