Abstract
The processes resulting in aging of solar elements (SE) of the type Cu//2// minus //xS-CdS and leading to decrease in I//s//. //c//. , U//i//d, and the filling coefficient (FC) of the load volt-ampere characteristic (VAC) have been under investigation. It is significant that in all the known investigations aging of Cu//2// minus //xS-CdS SE has been linked with processes occurring in the CdS. Absolutely no consideration has been given here to changes in the basic material CdS over time, which were studied earlier in CdS films and layers; these processes should also influence the parameters of the Cu//2// minus //xS-CdS SE. The aim of the present work is to study these changes in ceramic tablets of CdS, and to establish their relation to the aging process in Cu//2// minus //xS-CdS SE based on these tablets.
