Dynamic, bio-inspired, and chaotic systems (theory and applications), chaotic cryptography and steganography, digital forensics, information security, batteries, energy harvesting, and Internet of Things (Implementing, security, and modelling).
Rubén Vázquez-Medina was born in Mexico City in 1966. Since 1989, he is an Electronics Engineer from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). In 1993, he received the M.Sc. in Science degree about Electric Communications Engineering by the Centro de Investigación y Estudios Avanzados of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). In 2008, he received the Ph.D. degree by the UAM. In 2011-2012, he completed a postdoctoral research at the Centro de Física Aplicada y Tecnología Avanzada (CFATA) in the Universidad Nacional Autónma de México (UNAM) at Juriquilla, Querétaro, Mexico. He is currently Professor at the Centro de Ciencia Aplicada y Tecnología Avanzada (CICATA) at Querétaro in the IPN. From 2006 to 2015 he was an invited teacher at the Security Information Master of the Centro de Estudios Superiores Navales (CESNAV), belonging to the Secretaría de Marina Armada de México (SEMAR).
