Professional Information

Rogelio Reyes received the B.S. degree in Communications and Electronics Engineering from the Mechanical–Electrical Engineering School of National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) of Mexico, in 1999, the M.Sc. degree in Microelectronics and the Ph.D. degree in Communication and Electronic Engineering from the Graduate Section of the IPN, in 2003 and 2009 respectively; received the Diploma of Academic Excellence for his undergraduate studies and the Presea Lázaro Cárdenas from the IPN in 2003. He is currently a research professor in the Graduate Department of the ESIME Culhuacan IPN, in the PhD program on Communications and Electronics, in the M.Eng. program in Security and Information Technologies and in the Specialization in Computer Security and Information Technologies; he also works as a professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at ESIME Culhuacan. He has received several awards from the Academic Excellence Program for his teaching activity at the IPN. In 2015 he received the best teacher recognition in the Department of Computer Engineering granted by Colegio de Ingenieros Mecánicos y Electricistas, A.C. He has published several articles in high-impact peer-reviewed international journals, chapters in specialized books, and more than 100 publications in national and international conferences, he has participated in some research and industrial projects. He has been evaluator of the Programa de estímulos a la investigación, desarrollo tecnológico e innovación del CONACyT, of the Sistema de Becas por Exclusividad (SIBE) de la COFAA IPN since 2011, and of the Programa Interinstitucional para el Fortalecimiento de la Investigación y el Posgrado del Pacifico. He is currently a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores SNI and SPIE.
