Alejandra Ferreira de Loza studied at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), where she got the Ms. Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in 2007 and 2010, respectively. Between 2010 and 2013, she held two postdoctoral positions in France. At Laboratoire d'Automatique, de Méchanique, D'informatique Industrielles et Humaines (LAMIH) at the University of Valenciennes, Valenciennes, Fr. Later, she worked at Laboratoire de l'Intégration du Matériau au Système (IMS) at the University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux, Fr. In 2013 she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at CINVESTAV Monterrey, Mx. Since 2014, she is with Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Centro de Desarrollo de Tecnología Digital IPN-CITEDI, where she holds a CONACyT research fellow. She is the technical responsible for the EcosNORD-CONACyT bilateral project "New generation of closed-loop algorithms for glucose regulation in diabetic patients using bio-inspired models. " Since 2012, She belongs to the Mexican National Research Council, level 1 (SNI-1). She has supervised six master students and she is currently supervising two Ph.D. students. She has co-authored over 40 refereed journals, conferences, and book chapters.
