Research interests

I work on the study of microorganisms isolated from sites with extreme conditions for their application in biotechnological processes to obtain metabolites of interest in the environmental, agricultural, food and pharmaceutical areas. We study microbial processes individually and in a consortium in order to increase the production of metabolites of interest by genetic engineering.

I work in the development of bioremediation processes for soils and effluents contaminated by the application of microbial consortia.

I work in the development of edible coatings based on natural polymers for their application in food preservation.
